Braintree District Museum Hosts Herbology Class for Adults:
Braintree District Museum will be putting on a Herbology for Adults talk as a part of their Tea and Talk programme and in conjunction with the hugely successful Exhibition School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Would you want to be bled by a Leech? A live Spider placed on your Tongue? Join Lyn Bloom for an interesting and factual talk about how Snails, Owls and various other animals and arachnids along with herbs and crystals were used in Medieval Medicine.

Lyn and her husband Mark run History Blooms where they provide costumed historical interpretations. Mark specialises in Medieval and Tudor archery and the lives of those who created history through their skill with the bow whilst Lyn concentrates on the skills of the Medieval Barber Surgeons and Wise Women.
