The Dedham Vale AONB is celebrating 50 years since its designation. The purpose of the designation, to conserve and enhance natural beauty, remains as at least as important today as it did in 1970. The vision for the next 50 years must be to maintain these outstanding landscapes, support projects to address wildlife decline and encourage people from all sections of society to enjoy the benefits derived from them

The AONB team have been awarded a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to deliver a series of projects to celebrate the anniversary and give everybody the opportunity to share the wonders of the area.
