The Project is at the heart of a partnership whose aim is to conserve and enhance the special qualities of the area.
The Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley Project is a small team focusing on conserving and enhancing the special qualities of the Stour Valley. This is only one element of a much wider partnership of organisations committed to this work.
The Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley Partnership is a valley-wide forum that brings together key stakeholders and organisations to champion the environmental and cultural quality of the Stour Valley. The partnership provides strategic guidance to the Joint Advisory Committee that is responsible for the development, review and monitoring of the Management Strategy for the Stour Valley. The partners represent a wide variety of interests and have a key responsibility to contribute to the implementation of the policies and actions identified in the Management Strategy.
Of course, the care and management of this special area relies more than anything on the dedication, hard work and enthusiasm of farmers, landowners, parish activists, local historians, voluntary groups, amenity societies, wildlife groups and so many more.
