- What to look out for in the valley
The Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley provides something of interest for everyone. However, as the area is popular with visitors (especially in Constable Country), this can affect the lives of people living in the area, farming and other businesses. Visitors can have an impact on the landscape and quality of stay in the area.
To help you get the best out of your visit to Constable Country we suggest that you consider the following to help make your visit more enjoyable:
Arrive by train and enjoy a healthy half hour walk from Manningtree station to Flatford, Dedham and East Bergholt.
The area will be less busy outside summer months and weekends. The area can be enjoyed at quieter times like early mornings and late evenings.
