Farming in Protected Landscapes programme webinar for farmers and land managers

Landscape view of fields
You may have heard about the Farming in Protected Landscapes programme, launched by Defra in July this year and running until March 2024.

Under it, farmers and land managers who work in (or next to) Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and National Parks can apply for funding for projects that:

– Support nature recovery
– Mitigate the impacts of climate change
– Provide opportunities for people to discover, enjoy and understand the landscape and its cultural heritage
– Support nature-friendly, sustainable farm businesses.

An introduction to the programme is given in this short video. In addition, there will be a one-hour online webinar on Tuesday 7th September from 12-1pm.

To register just enter your details here – if you can’t make the date and would like to watch the recording afterwards please go ahead and register anyway so we can send you the link.

Agenda:
– An overview of the Farming in Protected Landscapes programme
– What does the funding cover?
– Hear from other farmers on how funding can help you build your business
– Where to go for more information, and how to apply
– Your chance to ask questions

The Farming in Protected Landscapes programme is a huge opportunity to apply for funds to support you as you develop your business, but you need to act soon to apply for this year’s funding.

Register to join the webinar to find out more. The Defra and AONB/National Park team who created the programme are attending the webinar, so it’s a unique opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

If you’re not a farmer or land manager you are very welcome to attend as an observer. We ask that you refrain from asking questions to allow farmers the best opportunity to get their questions answered. Thank you for your cooperation.
